Genesis 32:9-12
New American Standard Bible 1995
9 Jacob said, “O (A)God of my father Abraham and God of my father Isaac, O Lord, who said to me, ‘(B)Return to your country and to your relatives, and I will [a]prosper you,’ 10 [b]I am unworthy (C)of all the lovingkindness and of all the [c]faithfulness which You have shown to Your servant; for with my staff only I crossed this Jordan, and now I have become two companies. 11 (D)Deliver me, I pray, (E)from the hand of my brother, from the hand of Esau; for I fear him, that he will come and [d]attack me and the (F)mothers with the children. 12 For You said, ‘(G)I will surely [e]prosper you and (H)make your [f]descendants as the sand of the sea, which is too great to be numbered.’”

Jeremiah’s Prayer
12 (A)Righteous are You, O Lord, that I would plead my case with You;
Indeed I would (B)discuss matters of justice with You:
Why has the (C)way of the wicked prospered?
Why are all those who (D)deal in treachery at ease?
Philippians 4:6-7
